My bio
Dr. Richie striano
Dr. Richie Striano brings a unique approach and skill set to non-surgical treatment of a wide variety of joint disorders. Certified in diagnostic musculoskeletal imaging with 15 years of experience in the application of high-definition diagnostic imaging to accurately diagnose joint structures at the time of the visit. Coupled with review of all historical imaging a complete picture of each contributing component to the loss of mobility, function, stability, activity, quality of life and pain starts the
approach.
He was among the first doctors to qualify, sit for and pass the credentialing examination in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging and earned a pioneer certificate from the American Registry in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Dr. Striano received his diagnostic and interventional ultrasound training at The Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development, Andrews Orthopedic Institute, The Orthobiologics Institute, The Interventional Orthopedic Foundation, Thomas Jefferson Medical, and MSKUS. Dr. Striano was the first in the USA to be personally trained on the FDA-cleared Lipogems (an FDA cleared stem cell procedure using a patients own adipose tissue, fat) by its founder, Carlo Tremolada, M.D., Milan, Italy. Lipogems is an adipose-derived regenerative stem cell procedure FDA cleared on 2015. Dr. Striano has been teaching faculty at the OrthoSono physician training conferences in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound imaging, and has served on the Board of Directors for The Interventional Orthopedic Foundation.
He has published multiple peer-reviewed studies in orthopedic journals for advanced osteoarthritis in the shoulder with concomitant rotator cuff tears and advanced osteoarthritis in the knee with concomitant meniscus tears. He brings more than 18 years of experience as well as a unique approach to non-surgical orthopedics. Simply put, the approach begins with diagnostic ultrasound imaging of the joint as “the sum of all parts” view. As an example, a knee may have a torn meniscus, however, all of the structures inside and surrounding the knee must work in collaboration and cooperation for the joint to function in addition to the meniscus. With high-definition ultrasound imaging all structural components are viewed in fine detail. Thus the approach enables in real-time a “joint map” of every location, tissue, structure where damage has developed. The map identifies the intended targets that are then injected using the precision of the high-definition ultrasound imaging to deliver the stem cells into each with pin point accuracy.
Dr. Striano has diagnosed and taken part in more than thirty five thousand procedures and has participated in the care of multiple professional athletes, astronauts, business leaders, Olympic athletes, owners of professional sports teams, local farm workers, tradesman, and the weekend warrior. This new approach, in Stuart, Florida, shows significant outcomes across all demographics.
Dr. Striano’s approach is firmly grounded in science, evidence based in clinical studies, outcome driven and continuously evolving to improve outcomes. This has led to an average response rate of 85% in his peer reviewed published studies, and peer reviews published studies with international colleagues.
Every patient’s journey is personal, and my mission is to help them restore movement, reduce pain, and turn back the clock on aging – naturally.
